The Computer Software division of a Safety Science firm is looking for a software sales professional for the software and advisory division. This position is selling the company’s Learning Management Software to the pharmaceutical, medical device, bio-Med, Nutraceuticals, Chemical Manufacturing, and Aerospace industries. The role’s focus is to land new Logos. This role is remote with the best locations being Southern or Northern CA, Chicago, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania. The hiring manager needs a self-motivated software sales pro with experience selling to C-Suite with deal sizes in the 6 figures. Consultative sales experience with Life Science/EHS training content and software solutions is ideal. Understanding of FDA/Compliance and/or OSHA are important.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for learning and understanding Software and Advisory offerings and how to position them to drive significant business outcomes for our clients
Achieve bookings target by selling the Solutions Software and Advisory solutions platform
Responsible for landing new logos and driving expansion business at existing accounts for your assigned territory
Develops holistic account strategies that focus on solution-selling
Creates and maintains pipeline of new logo prospects to supplement existing account activities, owns new logo process through close of sale
Leads discovery, opportunity identification, proposals, and closing for sales
Meets with new logo prospects from inbound and outbound channels to qualify their needs, understand decision-makers, and land new clients for assigned product focus areas
Has and develops, manages, and grows relationships with executive level stakeholders with Fortune 1000 companies
Understands industry trends and client/market needs. Has the ability to clearly articulate to executives, clients, and prospects how our software and advisory offerings can meet needs and deliver significant value
Interfaces with clients primarily in person but also virtually (video, phone, email) to promote and sell Solutions products and services; travel as needed (up to 50%) for proactive outreach to highest potential clients
Able to create and deliver high impact client presentations, communications, and proposals, adapt with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Requirements:
5+ years of sales, account management and sales operations
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
Relevant industry experience with understanding of industry trends and challenges
Successful track record of selling, creating strategies, plans and successful lead generation campaigns that resulted in multi-million deals, to large multinational manufacturers
Hands on sales experience with the ability to both pursue, manage, and close new strategic accounts
Ability to work independently and develop strategies, partnering with other leaders to create an aggressive yet manageable path.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence high-level decision makers
Experience presenting to small and large groups both online and in person
Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), CRM software, and digital account planning tools
